This week, Monster Aid is celebrating its recent partnership with the Thurston County Economic Development Council to provide relief for small businesses in distress due to COVID-19 with 20,000 face masks. 

Businesses around the country are getting the green light to reopen and, with reinforced health regulations in place, having reliable resources to keep customers and staff safe is essential. Monster Aid is overjoyed to help communities thrive as they reopen.

The Thurston County EDC works with ThurstonStrong, an online personal protection equipment (PPE) resource for businesses in the county. ThurstonStrong buys PPE in bulk and distributes it to businesses in need through their website. 

Since Monster Aid was founded by Washington locals, the cause is close to home.

“We live & work in Lacey, Tumwater, and the Olympia area,” Monster Aid Co-Founder Nathanael Hartman said. “Helping our neighbors and friends get back to work is something we are incredibly excited to be a part of.” 

Originally, Monster Aid sent 10,000 masks to ThurstonStrong. But the order doubled double almost instantly due to the incredible response from the recipients. Now, 20,000 masks are available to the Thurston County community to help its members enjoy their favorite businesses safely. 

Monster Aid is ready and willing to provide as many masks as needed to ThurstonStrong and the communities close to us. 

“We are thrilled to be able to support the Thurston County EDC and ThurstonStrong's efforts to make PPE widely available to businesses of all sizes in the county as they safely reopen,” Hartman said.
